How has your first year at CP Management been?

“It’s been an exciting year to say the least. With my two roles I have been able to participate in so many different aspects of property management. Managing a few properties has helped me intimately learn the day-to-day services we provide our clients. I love that every day is different. I feel as though this is an industry where I will never stop learning.”

How have you applied your experience from your previous company to CP?

“I previously worked as a management consultant focused on strategy and research projects for consumer product companies. The skills I learned there have been very applicable in organizing and creating our growth strategy. One of the first projects I tackled was breaking down our current portfolio across different metrics. Understanding where we are, has allowed us to define our goals and begin creating our roadmap to get there.”

Who would you define as CP’s ideal client?

“Anyone who owns a property and does not want to deal with the day-to-day maintenance, accounting, and administrative work. More specifically we help all types and sizes of commercial property owners, multifamily apartment owners of buildings with 30+ units, as well as condominium boards.

Our clients range from large scale investors and developers all the way to individuals that own one investment property. Management has always been our core business, and we aim to free up our clients’ time to focus on their core business while simultaneously making them more money. A lot of times owners don’t realize that high quality property management has a positive return on investment. We maximize operating income through collection, rising rents and expense management, preserve the building condition for long term value and free up their time to find more opportunities or enjoy doing what they love.”

What have you enjoyed most about working at CP?

“I really enjoy being able to represent a company with such a great reputation. CP has been around for over 35 years and is well known throughout the area. New clients often know of us or have been referred by one of our long-term clients. I can talk about our employee longevity or focus on transparency and know it is viewed as genuine.

I also enjoy being able to visit properties and meet people in the industry all over New England. Most of the properties that we manage are in New Hampshire, but we stretch into ME, MA, and RI, so it has been a lot of fun to explore in more detail the region where I grew up.”

Where do you see CP Management in five years?

“My hope is with more properties under management, otherwise I am not doing my job! More seriously, I hope we will have grown sustainably. We would rather turn down an opportunity than stretch our team and not be able to provide the high level of service we are known for.”

On a more personal note, what do you like to do for fun?

My wife and I love to entertain. My wife works in the food industry and loves to cook, so I am of little help in the kitchen, but I have created a role for myself as the bartender. I enjoy trying different recipes in addition to creating well-made classics.

Additionally, wrestling has always been a big part of my life. I started wrestling when I was five and continued through college. A few years ago, I became a high school wrestling referee, and this winter will be my first season in New Hampshire. I am excited to go back to a lot of the gyms I use to compete in.”
